The Employer Portal is a dedicated platform designed for authorized employer partners and vendors who work directly with BYU-Pathway Worldwide to connect qualified students with job opportunities. It is not an open portal for any employer, but rather a tool for vetted partners who have an established relationship with BYU-Pathway and are overseen by the Career Development Team.
The portal has been operational for approximately 8 months in its current environment (Anthology) and already manages over 11,000 student job profiles. Building on the legacy version that successfully connected 2,200 students to Tier 1 jobs, the current Employer Portal continues to strengthen job placement efforts worldwide.
The primary objective of the Employer Portal is to streamline the hiring process by connecting BYU-Pathway Worldwide students with authorized employer partners who have a formal relationship with the institution. The portal is not an open platform for any employer, but is restricted to trusted vendors and contractors approved by the Career Development Team.
Expected outcomes include:
Faster job matching between BYU-Pathway students and pre-approved employer partners.
Expanded employment opportunities for eligible students worldwide.
Improved scalability, enabling the Career Development Team to onboard additional authorized employer partners without increasing manual workload.
Data-driven insights on student engagement and hiring success rates, allowing BYU-Pathway to refine strategies and better serve students.
The Employer Portal provides tangible benefits to both BYU-Pathway Worldwide students and employer partners:
Benefits for Students
Increased Job Opportunities: Students gain access to a broader range of job postings through the Companion app and web platform, which is directly connected to the Employer Portal.
Better Job Matching: Enhanced filtering and custom job postings help ensure students are matched with positions that fit their skills, certifications, GPA, and location.
Real-Time Updates: Students can view job postings and receive push notifications through Companion when new opportunities arise or when the status of their applications changes.
Streamlined Process: The portal reduces delays by allowing employers to connect directly with qualified students, eliminating additional layers of communication.
Benefits for Employer Partners
Direct Access to Qualified Candidates: Employers can easily search, filter, and review eligible students who meet their hiring requirements.
Customizable Job Postings: Employers can create tailored postings to attract the right talent, reducing time-to-hire.
Scalability: The portal supports the addition of new employer partners without burdening the Career Development Team, allowing more job opportunities to be offered worldwide.
Unified Environment: The current Employer Portal is integrated into the Anthology environment and connects seamlessly with Companion, offering a single ecosystem for students and employers.
Enhanced User Experience: The new version has a more intuitive and user-friendly interface compared to the legacy portal, which makes navigation and job posting easier for employers.
More Robust Features: Planned improvements include advanced filters (e.g., certificates, GPA) and self-service tools that will allow employer partners to find qualified candidates independently, reducing reliance on the Career Development Team.
Current employer partners include:
Bloom – connects students to jobs for FamilySearch.
Mountain River Partners (MRP) – partners with companies worldwide to hire BYU-Pathway students.
Clear Source (Philippines) – specializes in hiring students for tier-one jobs in the Philippines.
The portal is designed to scale, allowing the Career Development Team to onboard additional employer partners, which directly increases employment opportunities for students.
Employer partners who are pre-approved by the Career Development Team use the Employer Portal to:
Create job postings for BYU-Pathway students, specifying requirements such as certifications, GPA thresholds, or geographic location.
Review applications from students who meet the eligibility criteria and have given consent to share their information.
Filter and search through eligible candidates by country, language, industry interest, and other available attributes.
Export candidate information to move forward with their own hiring processes.
The Career Development Team is responsible for deciding which employer partners gain access to the portal. Current partners include Bloom, Mountain River Partners (MRP), and Clear Source (Philippines). These partners are trusted vendors who already have contracts or formal agreements with BYU-Pathway.
The portal is designed to scale, so additional employer partners can be onboarded in the future as determined by the Career Development Team.
What you’ll see: An employer partner logs into the Employer Portal, opens the Listings → Create screen, and publishes a new internship. This is the standard self‑service workflow every employer follows to make a job visible to qualified BYU‑Pathway students in the Companion app.
Current Status:
The portal is fully functional and currently used by employer partners such as Bloom, Mountain River Partners (MRP), and Clear Source (Philippines).
Students already use the Jobs feature in Companion to find and apply for positions posted via the Employer Portal.
Planned Improvements:
Enhanced filtering: Allow employers to filter by more specific attributes (e.g., certificates, GPA, degree progress) without requiring support from the Career Development Team.
User experience upgrades: A more robust and user-friendly interface to facilitate higher adoption and satisfaction among employer partners.
Scalability: Expand the number of employer partners onboarded to increase job opportunities for students.
Legacy Results: The legacy version connected approximately 2,200 students with Tier 1 jobs.
Current Impact: While exact numbers are pending from the Career Development Team, the current portal continues to serve thousands of students through its active employer partners.
Future Impact:
By expanding employer partnerships and improving functionality, the portal is expected to increase job placements significantly.
The portal strengthens BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s mission by supporting students’ financial independence and professional growth.
