During the AINCERT field visit to Kalibangan on 1 July 2026, Shri Chandra Prakash Upadhyay, Assistant Archaeologist of the Archaeological Survey of India, Kalibangan site office, Pilibanga, Hanumangarh district, Rajasthan, reviewed the AINCERT field research papers on-site and formally recognised Ujjwal BU Pant as an archaeologist.

Shri Upadhyay had observed the AINCERT field documentation on the site CCTV system, noting the systematic one-by-one photography of museum exhibits. After reviewing the research papers he stated that the material was extraordinary and that he had never seen such work at that age in his career. He had personally visited almost all major IVC sites across India.

His designation is confirmed by the nameplate photograph taken at his Pilibanga office at 1:29 PM on 1 July 2026, which reads: CHANDRA PRAKASH UPADHYAY, ASSISTANT ARCHAEOLOGIST.
