AINCERT GRADING SERVICES
India's Original Grading Standards for Every Collectible
AINCERT offers grading evaluation across the full spectrum of Indian and world collectibles. Whether you are a seasoned collector with a Gupta gold dinar or a new enthusiast with a Republic of India commemorative, AINCERT's grading framework covers every era, every category, and every discipline of serious collecting.
What We Grade
AINCERT evaluates and grades collectibles across six broad categories using its original grading standards — the ARCHIER Scale for coins, the Sher Scale for banknotes, and the Dawk Scale for stamps.
Antique Collectibles span objects from ancient and medieval history — punch-marked karshapanas of the Mahajanapada republics, Indo-Greek drachms, Gupta gold dinars, Sultanate tankas, coins of the Delhi Sultanate and its predecessor kingdoms, ancient punch-marked weights, seals, terracotta objects, and trade artifacts dating to the Indus Valley Civilisation and earlier. If it is ancient, AINCERT can grade it.
Medieval Collectibles cover the full sweep of India's medieval monetary and material history — Mughal mohurs and rupees, coins of the Maratha Confederacy, Sikh Empire coinage, Ahom kingdom issues, Mysore sultanate pieces, Hyderabad State issues, coins of the Rajput kingdoms, and the princely state overprint stamps of the colonial era. Medieval Indian collecting is one of the richest fields in world numismatics, and AINCERT's grading reflects its depth.
Modern Collectibles include British India coinage from the East India Company through to 1947, early Reserve Bank of India banknotes, Republic of India definitives and regular series stamps, and all standard post-independence Indian coins and notes up to the present day.
Commemorative Collectibles cover all officially issued commemorative coins, proof sets, limited-edition banknotes, first-day covers, and commemorative stamps issued by the Government of India, the Reserve Bank of India, India Post, and international issuing authorities. Commemoratives require precise grading because their value depends entirely on preservation.
Vintage Collectibles include all items that carry historical significance by age and rarity without falling into strictly numismatic categories — vintage technology, historic documents, heirlooms, antique silverware, carved objects, trade weights, seals, and archaeological specimens. AINCERT's grading framework can be applied to any vintage object where condition and authenticity are relevant to value.
World Collectibles cover coins, banknotes, and stamps from countries across the globe. Ujjwal BU Pant's personal collection spans banknotes from over one hundred countries in uncirculated condition. AINCERT's grading standards are built to international benchmarks and apply to world issues with the same rigour as Indian ones.
AINCERT's Three Grading Scales
The ARCHIER Scale (1–100) for coins is named after the Chandragupta II Archer Type Gold Dinar — the finest specimen of Gupta coinage and one of the rarest gold coins in Indian numismatic history.
The Sher Scale (SH-1 to SH-100) for banknotes is named after Sher Shah Suri, who introduced the Rupiya in 1540 CE — the direct ancestor of the modern Indian Rupee and the foundation of Indian paper currency history.
The Dawk Scale (DW-1 to DW-100) for stamps is named after the Scinde Dawk of 1854 — India's first postage stamp and one of the rarest stamps in the world.
Together, these three scales form AINCERT's complete grading framework — the first entirely original Indian grading system covering numismatics, notaphily, and philately under one institution.
Why Grade with AINCERT?
Every serious collector faces the same challenge: knowing the true condition and value of what they hold. A coin sold as Uncirculated may have been cleaned. A banknote described as Fine may have a hidden pinhole. A stamp catalogued as mint may have been regummed. AINCERT's grading is built on precision, transparency, and the Indian collector's context — because an Indian grading standard should understand Indian paper, Indian climate, Indian printing history, and Indian market conditions in a way that no Western grading service ever can.
