About the Founder and President
Ujjwal BU Pant is the Founder and President of AINCERT, the All India Numismatics Council of Educational Research and Training. He is a student of Class 7A at Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida, and one of the youngest active numismatic researchers in India.
Ujjwal began collecting in Class 4, when a single coin sparked a curiosity that has since grown into a research organisation, a published book series, an original coin grading scale, a monthly newspaper, and a collection of over 2,000 pieces spanning five thousand years of Indian monetary history. His collection ranges from ancient punch-marked karshapanas of approximately 300 BCE through Gupta gold dinars, Mughal mohurs, British India certified coins, and sealed modern proof issues from the India Government Mint. He holds a certified NGC MS-67 1926 Quarter Anna, a Chandragupta II Archer type gold dinar acquired through Marudhar Arts, and a Rajendra Chola I silver proof estimated at PF-ARCHIER 100 UCAM — the highest grade on the scale he created.
Beyond numismatics, Ujjwal's interests extend to notaphily, philately, exonumia, scripophily, deltiology, antiquarianism, and vintage technology. He is the author of the ongoing book series Ancient Treasures: Coinage of India, of which two parts are complete.
AINCERT was founded on 30 April 2026 with a single conviction: that coins and artefacts are not objects of value but objects of history. The organisation's motto — Don't talk about money, talk about history — reflects a belief that the numismatic objects in a collection are only as meaningful as the historical knowledge that surrounds them. Every coin in the AINCERT collection is documented not by its price but by its story.
AINCERT has conducted two field expeditions. The first covered Rakhigarhi, one of the largest known Harappan cities and a site of foundational importance to the study of the Indus Valley Civilisation. The second was the Ghaghar-Hakra Expedition 2026, conducted between 29 June and 2 July 2026 across Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab, beginning at Farmana and ending at Jallianwala Bagh. The expedition covered eight heritage sites spanning approximately five thousand years of Indian history and produced eight original field research papers and over three hundred field photographs. At Kalibangan, Shri Chandra Prakash Upadhyay, Assistant Archaeologist of the Archaeological Survey of India, reviewed the research papers on-site and formally recognised Ujjwal as an archaeologist, saying: this is extraordinary material. I have never seen such things at your age in my life. Shri Upadhyay has personally visited almost all major IVC sites across India.
AINCERT's institutional partnership with Marudhar Arts, a Trust of Three Generations Since 1966 and India's most respected numismatic auction house, anchors the collection and the research. The long-term vision is the Pant Museum — a family heritage institution that will bring together the collection, the research, and the history that drives both.
Ujjwal is based between Noida and Haldwani, Uttarakhand
