Drop-In Hours: Students are invited to work on their assignments during our drop-in hours, Monday - Thursday 10am - 3pm. Students can write in a relaxed environment, and Writing Coaches are available to answer questions and give advice as needed.
Tutoring Appointments: Students can schedule 30- or 60-minute appointments to work 1:1 with a Writing Coach. Appointment options include evening and weekend hours, Spanish language, and Zoom. See times and schedule appointments in Accudemia. Instructions and link here. (For writing assistance in Spanish, please choose Melissa as your tutor when you schedule an appointment in Accudemia.)
Writing Drop-Box: Students can submit a paper along with their writing questions in Accudemia, and a Writing Coach will provide feedback within 1-2 business days. This is a great way for a busy student to get additional support, and we hope students will follow up with an in-person or Zoom appointment. You can access the Writing Center Drop Box under the "Campus" tab in Accudemia.

More Cool Things that may just be helpful:
Academic Coaching: Students seeking advice on time management, study skills, note taking, and other strategies for college success can meet with an Academic Coach during drop-in hours (Monday - Thursday 10am - 3pm) or by appointment.
Arty’s Study Hours: Students who come to the Learning Commons to study (Monday - Thursday 10am - 3pm) will be greeted with a weekly study tip and can sign in to enter prizes. Academic Coaches are on hand with personalized learning strategies.
Kendra: If I were to work on something specifically related to Grammarly and or helping ELL students use Grammarly or other Aims resources effectively, I would probably start with a series of Grammarly's tools for topics such as passive construction, using appropriate tense (past v past perfect, simple present v progressive), and syntax and clause construction in general.
Lee: I've already created some resources for MLA 9 and I could begin building similar sources for APA and CMS . I'm now thinking that it could be productive to skim all the academic writing instruction in our ELL curriculum -- Ventures from Cambridge -- and identify where some of the big gaps are, such as elements of argumentation that ELLs would benefit from learning before they moved from ELL classes to, say, English 1021.
