The Thornback Crawler is a small insect found within the biomes of the Dangerous Dunes and Forgotten Forests. It can be identified by its spiked carapace and six long legs. Its body displays a thick exoskeleton, offering protection against the harsh and often unforgiving environments of its habitat.

Naturally skittish, this creature avoids both others creatures and players whenever possible. Its speed and armored shell are its only true real defenses. When threatened, it will retreat swiftly and burrow itself into its nest.

For young dragons, the Thornback Crawler represents one of the most ideal and accessible food sources when around.
