The Swamp Snapper is a large semi-aquatic predator, showcasing a resemblance to a mix between an alligator snapping turtle and a crocodile. It prefers cool, humid habitats and is most commonly found in ponds, lakes, and marshlands. Within these waters, it represents a considerable threat to hatchlings and unwary young dragons.
As an opportunistic hunter, the Swamp Snapper does not hesitate to attack juveniles that get too close of the water’s edge. Often, it can be seen floating motionless at the surface with only its nostrils showing above the waterline. A dragon may as well be able to detect a snapper before seeing it by hearing the guttural noises it produces.

Biolumin Spit effect
Note; Sometimes, you may encounter some Swamp Snappers bigger than usual. These are the "Elder Snappers", also called "Boss Snappers".
These are always of a grey/white color, and produce deeper guttural sounds. These are also stronger and more lethal to unwary dragons.
There is certains zones where these big snappers appears at a 100% rate, but all common snappers spots may give an Elder Snapper.
This is also the only AI creature ingame which can drop cosmetic pearls as of now. (The Snowslayer and Sandslayer pearls)
These pearls have a 5% chance to drop, so good hunting out there!
