Raouf Zaidan (Baritone) - Short Biography (bach-cantatas.com)

The Egyptian Baritone, Raouf G. Zaidan, was born in Egypt to British Egyptian parents.

He studied Journalism/Political Science at the American University in Cairo (AUC),

studied Piano and Voice at Trinity College Of Music in London (Class of 1978), and Acting

Singing at the Royal College of Music in London (Opera School Postgraduate Course: Class of 1980).

University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, where he obtained his Master of Music degree in Singing 1986

Performed Papageno,

Figaro,

Fiddler on the Roof,

Papageno in The Magic Flute in Arabic; and in the USA he is known for his performances of

Gilbert & Sullivan lead roles, and much MUCH MORE........

In 2013 he returned to teach at my AUC

Magic Flute production in Arabic, at Alexandria Egypt, the beautiful auditorium of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
