Review of Officer Responsibilities

Before beginning the process, you are expected to thoroughly review the responsibilities of all positions that you are considering running for (including slide downs and nominations) as well as general expectations of a member serving on the 72nd Regional Board of Central Region West.  Click here to review the officer responsibilities.

Friday, March 17th, 6:00PM – DeclarE YOUR INTENT TO RUN

To declare for CRW's 72nd Regional Board, you must call Negev Geri (for AZA candidates) or Noga Rafalin (for BBG candidates). Negev/Noga will then send you a survey for you to fill out by this deadline as well.  Find information about the Declaration here

Friday, March 17th, 6:00PM – REFLECTION QUESTIONS DUE

You are required to submit your answers for the position you’re caucusing for, as well as all positions you would consider sliding to.  For slides, please simply fill out the form again for the additional position(s) by the date of your staff interview (you can copy/paste your answers or indicate "already submitted" for the General Questions section)

Please note that while these responses are due on March 17, we encourage you to have written your reflection questions prior to declaring your official caucus with the intent that you have formulated ideas and thought deeply about the position for which you wish to caucus, before you do so.  Learn more and find the form here.

Sunday, March 26th – CAUCUS AT Regional Business Meeting

At the Regional Business Meeting on Sunday, March 26th, all declared candidates will rise and remain standing when the chair (Godol/N'siah) says “all those caucusing for the high and honorable position of [whatever you declared for] have risen."  At this point, the public elections process has begun. However, please know that staff still retains the right to dismiss anyone from the elections process as they see fit at any point through this process.

Note: Meeting attendance is mandatory for all candidates! If there is a conflict, please contact Negev Geri or Noga Rafalin immediately.

Sunday, March 26th – Video Recording

Directly following the Regional Business Meeting, all candidates will stay after for the filming of the Meet the Candidates videos. Negev/Noga will be asking each candidate a set of questions that you will have time to answer.  Candidates for the same positions will be asked the same questions.  There is no preparation needed for this, just come with a smile and a positive attitude ready to answer questions about yourself!  Within a few weeks, videos will be released to the region for members to watch to ensure the most educated voters on the day of elections.

If elected, you will create a teen/staff partnership in order to build a stronger CRW. For this reason, you will have interviews with one of them to fully understand what your upcoming year may entail. The staff member who will interview you will reach out to you directly to schedule your meeting after you have signed and submitted your contract. All meetings must happen before April 20th. Find more information on Staff Interviews here

Reminder that by your staff interview, you must have submitted reflection questions for any additional positions you intend to slide to.

Please note that we will be hosting staff interviews through Zoom. Please plan to have your video on and remove distractions so we can ensure an equitable experience.
