Why do you want to serve on the 72nd Regional Board of Central Region West #45?
What is a creative solution you have had to a problem in BBYO?
Imagine it's the end of the 72nd Term. What does the region look like? What changes are you most proud of?
Being Regional Aleph Godol or Regional N’siah is an incredibly selfless experience– it’s not about you. It’s not fun at times. You must be prepared to elevate other people’s ideas and focus on celebrating other's success and support them through their mistakes. What is your motivation for holding such a selfless position? What challenges do you foresee in this work? How do you plan to continue at a high level when you almost inevitably feel burnt out?
What is your strategy for managing and motivating your team (Regional Board/Your Co/Staff) to work hard despite obstacles to successfully move the region forward?
Your number one priority as Regional Aleph Godol or Regional N'siah is to support chapters to help them reach their full potential. How will you go about interacting with chapters in the form of counterpart work, visitations, and more?
How can CRW's programming improve on the chapter level in this upcoming year? As Regional S'gan/it, how will you specifically address these chapter-level programming deficiencies? What is the gold-standard for chapter events at the end of the 72nd term?
In what concrete ways can convention planning and programming be improved? How will these changes address our needs as a region?
As Regional S'gan/it, you will also have a central role in shaping non-convention Regional programming, including but not limited to: Kickoff, Beau, Chapter Spotlights, and AZAA/BBGG. What particular changes do you hope to make in this realm, and why?
A region is only as strong as it's chapters. What specific tools, skills, and strategies will you equip counterparts with to ensure your counterparts are recruiting to their chapter's highest potential?
In the 72nd term CRW is putting a focus on expansion to new realms. With a large under-engaged population in areas such as Sacramento, San Francisco, and the East Bay, how will you work to bring more Jewish experiences to more Jewish teens through BBYO?
How will you infuse education about CRW traditions while re-emphasizing the importance of a cohesive fraternity/sisterhood/siblinghood?
BBYO is unique to other Jewish youth movements because we are pluralistic. How can we leverage Judaic programming to engage Jewish teens from all backgrounds and keep them excited about Judaism?
What is the gold-standard for Judaic programming at the end of your term?
Knowing that CRW consists of teens with a broad spectrum of views on Israel, how will you ensure that initiatives and Israel programming meaningfully and effectively engage all teens?
In what ways will you ensure that engagement with Tikkun Olam is a year-round dialogue on the regional level, while balancing that with the initiatives of individual chapters?
Region-wide, chapters struggle with having high attendance at community service events and lack chapter-wide participation in StandUp. How will you guide your counterparts in empowering members of their chapters to partake in social action programming?
What is the gold-standard for community service programs at the end of your term?
Regional Mazkir/Mazkirah spearheads promotion for the multitude of regional and international events that CRW hosts and attends. How will you capitalize on that role to ensure the highest attendance possible?
In what concrete ways can communication in CRW be improved? How do you intend to address these issues, and communicate effectively?
To be Regional Mazkir/Mazkirah is to be the carrier and messenger of information across the bay. In your role, you'll be required to make sure that all chapters feel connected, regardless of geography. What approach will you take to managing social media and other platforms of communication to ensure a united region?
Often, it is difficult to get members to rally behind fundraisers in our region. How do you plan to employ resources and appeal to values to excite and engage the region in chapter, regional, and international fundraising campaigns like Giving BBYO Day?
It's easy to raise money and then forget why we raised it in the first place. Too often, we see chapters refrain from hosting extravagant chapter events due to lack of funding. How will you ensure that chapters are able to host an event such as mini-golf night, or a chapter trip, and not be constricted by a lack of money?
