You're likely doing independent research on your own thing by now. Which is great! So now it's just a matter of reporting in and keeping track of your efforts, getting feedback when you need it, and working on the common items required for class (CVs, etc.).

Before The Meetings

You should add your progress to the agenda before the meeting (just a bullet point), which will help you remember what to talk about during your 2 minutes.

At the Meetings

Be prepared to give a quick update on your progress: what you've completed, any issues, what you're planning to do next week.

• Project Log (be sure to note how many hours you NEED to complete to get the course credit you're looking for, how many hours you have completed up to this point, and if you're behind note how you plan to address that discrepancy in the near future)

• Annotated Bibliography: You should turn in 5 of these documents for articles/evidence-based items you intend to refer to in your final products for this course. This is all about me making sure you know how to find evidence based sources, how to refer to them, that you understand what you're reading, etc. Basically this is checking that you're developing your research skills appropriately.
