Step 1: Select the plane that you would like to start sketching on. In this instance we will use the XY plane (the floor).

Step 2: Press the C key (Hot-Key) on your keyboard to create a CIRCLE from a center point.

Select the center point where the red and green line cross over and drag a circle outwards. Press Enter.

Size should be between around 80 to 100 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 3: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.

Select the circle you created in step 2 and pull this upwards. Press Enter.

Size should be between around 80 to 100 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 4: Press the O key on your keyboard to enter the OFFSET command.

Select the top (face) of the cylinder that you created in Step 3 and then select the outline of the circle. Drag the handle inwards to create a new parallel circle inside. Press Enter.

Size should be between around 3 to 6 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 5: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.

Select the circle you created in step 4 and pull this downwards. Press Enter.

Size should be between around -80 to -90 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 6: Select the CONSTRUCT drop-down menu and then select TANGENT PLANE.

Select the outside of the cylinder you created in Step 5 and press Enter.

The angle is of the new plane is not vitally important.

Step 7: Press the R key on your keyboard to enter the RECTANGLE command.

Select the tangent plane you created in step 6 and draw a new rectangle around the width and height of a cup handle. Press Enter.

Size should be between around 20 mm wide and 60 mm high but is not vitally important.

Step 8: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.

Select the rectangle you created in step 7 and pull this outwards. Press Enter.

Size should be between around 40 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 9: Press the F key on your keyboard to enter the FILLET command.

Select a corner of the cuboid you created in step 8 and hold SHIFT to select the next corner. Use the handle to pull this inwards. Press Enter.

Size of fillet should be between around 30 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 10: Press the O key on your keyboard to enter the OFFSET command.

Select the side (face) of the filleted cuboid that you created in Step 9 and then select the outline of the shape. Drag the handle inwards to create a new parallel shape inside. Press Enter.

Size should be between around -6 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 11: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.

Select the shape you created in step 10 and push this through to remove. Press Enter.

The shape should turn red to indicate that it is being removed.

Step 12: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.

Select the flat face inside the cup handle and push this towards the cup body. Press Enter.

The shape should turn red to indicate that it is being removed. This distance should be around - 10 mm.

Step 13: Press the F key on your keyboard to enter the FILLET command.

Select the corner of the cup handle and hold SHIFT to select the next corner. Use the handle to pull this inwards. Press Enter.

Size of fillet should be between around - 5 mm but is not vitally important.

Step 14: Press the A key on your keyboard to enter the APPEARANCE command.

Select the material that you would like from the list and drag this directly onto the model.

You can apply material finishes to the entire body or a single face by choosing from the radial buttons at the top of the appearance tool window.
