Goal
To understand God’s call for unity, generosity, and fellowship as one MFC community.

What do you think it means to have “everything in common” with others in a community?
Grace
Read Acts 2:44-47 NABRE
"All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved."
The early Christian community’s deep sense of unity, generosity, and joyful fellowship empowered them to live a communal life and has supported each other well. We too can learn from them as one MFC Community if we follow their way of life.
Unity through Faith and Purpose
The early believers were deeply united, not just by faith but also by their commitment to each other’s well-being. We too are called not just to gather together; but to share a common lifestyle, where we support one another both spiritually and materially.
Unity through Generosity and Love
By selling their possessions and providing for those in need, the early Christians showed love through sacrificial giving. This act of generosity was a reflection of their love for God and their love for each other. We too are called to give generously of our treasure for the furtherance of our mission through tithing. We prioritize the Giver or the Gifts, over the gifts. We also open our home to our brethren, as we are called to be sensitive to the needs of others.
Unity through Joyful Fellowship and Worship
The early church gathered regularly in the temple courts and in each other’s homes, where they shared meals and praised God together. We too can show genuine fellowship and worship that goes hand-in-hand. We can show this in life-giving households, spirit-filled assemblies, etc. In this way, we can also attract others in the kind of community life that we do.
Being Community is one of our MFC Core Values. We are a family of families, the community that is MFC. We are a worldwide family of many different nationalities and cultures but all sharing brotherhood and sisterhood in Christ. We desire to move forward together in our life in the Lord, providing love, affirmation, friendship, support and healing. We are committed to the good of our brethren, always living the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).
Gather
How can we create an atmosphere of unity, generosity, and joy in our MFC Community?
Go Forth
Identify one person in your community who may be in need—emotionally, spiritually, or materially. This week, reach out to them in a spirit of generosity, either by offering your time, resources, or simply a listening ear.
Give
God is Generous and in response, let us be good stewards by consistent Spiritual Giving, our tithing.
