Mathematical Literacy

Mathematical Literacy is a more practical subject that teaches learners to solve mathematical problems that they come across in everyday life.

The goal of the subject is to give learners the tools and necessary knowledge to solve any problems that they may have to deal with in any context in everyday life, irrespective of the context being known or relating to them specifically. Learners who are mathematically literate will need to have the ability and confidence to tackle any situation that they may come across, interpret it, know which techniques to use and resolve the situation to reach the best possible outcome. They will develop a set of general skills that they may need to solve specific problems.
