An interesting tool for SEN students: Creately

In Creately, users can create all kinds of diagrams, including mind maps and flowcharts. There's a dashboard-type page for file and folder management and an editor page for working directly with the diagrams. Users can build their creations from scratch using text, lines, objects, and imported files, or they can choose from a selection of templates that come with relevant objects and images. Objects can be rotated, enlarged, connected, ordered, and linked to other diagrams or URLs. With an account, users can also share and collaborate in the cloud.
One activity that could be carried out using this website is: after reading a short story or watching a movie, students can get in groups and create a storyboard that summarizes one scene. In this way, students who have difficulties with text and sequencing, will be able to add images and maybe with the help of others add some speech bubbles to the different characters. It is a fun and useful way of engaging students with the language!
