Many secondary teachers create videos of past NCEA papers and more. Google is a great way to find them.

Ask yourself:
Do I know when the assessments are?
Do I know what topic we are doing
Do I have a check list of what is in the upcoming test?
Are there past tests that I can work through?
Have I made notes?
Have I discovered the cause of my mistakes? Working through past tests can highlight your gaps in knowledge, this allows you to learn what you need to learn.
Assessments:
Assessments can be tests, assignments or presentations.
Is it a group or individual task?
How is it marked? Is your teacher marking it, or is it peer assessed? Online auto marked?
How is it graded? For example are you given a Curriculum Level or an Achieved, Merit or Excellence Grade.
What do the grades mean? For example, in year 9 you should be at least at level 4 of the NZC.
Sometimes it helps to know if the assessment is going to be reported on. Work load issues can impact on your capacity to put 100% into everything you do. Sometimes you need to prioritize the assessments that matter the most.
Do not STRESS about your grades. Look at the big picture, are you improving? Do you get anxious during assessments? If so you can google ideas to improve your mindset. Tips & Tricks
