1 Peter 3:18
Jesus Died for Each of Us and Each of Our Sins
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
St. Peter knew Jesus...He was one of Jesus' Disciples...And in his first epistle he tells us that Jesus died for us, once and for all for our sins...
Sometimes we get caught up in group thinking, or the herd mentality, and think of Jesus in terms of dying for mankind...But let us think of His dying another way...Jesus knows you...He knows you personally...So He died for you and your sins...He died on the cross for you personally...
C. S. Lewis put it this way, "When Christ died, he died for you individually just as much as if you had been the only person in the world."...
