Jesus Committed No Sin
22 “He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth.”
2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus Committed No Sins
21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
How do you define radical, or a radical?...Is it one who doesn't follow the rules or the social or cultural rules?...When we were in Eden, we as mankind did not follow the rules, so we might be called radicals, because we learned to sin...And over the years, it seems we got better at sinning, so mankind is radical, when we are compared to our very first being put on earth by our Creator ...We went from not sinning to sinning, and being disobedient to God, so this made us a radical to the good and peaceful world in which we lived...
So how we view the world, such as comparing ourselves now to Adam and Eve, when Adam was formed from the dust of the earth -we are now the radicals...But as time passed on and on, we got used to sinning, as we have continued to sin...I wonder if most people think that we are radical...We just have a lifestyle that we live day to day, and we might say others have a different lifestyle -and in each and every lifestyle we sin...But when God created u, we did not sin...
There was One who came to earth and did not sin...He was obedient to God, and God's Will...His lifestyle did not include sinning of any sorts...By Jesus committing no sins, this made Him different than us...
Radical, also, can be defined as one who advocates social reform...Jesus wanted us not to sin...He tried to change our ways and our lifestyle in that specific respect...So in that specific definition, Jesus was a Radical....More precisely He was a Radical Teacher...He was a Radical Nonviolent Teacher, who taught about God...He was and is against sinning...God and the Kingdom of God was His main, and maybe only Subject matter and His focus and the central part of all of His teachings...He hung around sinners, tax collectors, the poor, the sick, those in need, and miraculously healed many of them...He seemed to be against wealth and was for God God's Word, God's Plan, and the Will of God, because He did not believe God and money mixed well together...Another money story was when He spoke about a young son taking half of his father's estate and then wasting it on wild living, and then tells us how the father forgives this prodigal son...And it seems that He was homeless most of His adult life, in the sense that He did not have a place to lay His head at night, when He went to sleep...He, to my knowledge, never gave us His specific position on gays or abortion and these types of sin...But He was against sin and adultery...He seemed to be against stoning and stoning of sinning people to their deaths, because He once saved a woman who was caught red-handed in adultery, a great sin -but He saved her despite her sin...He did not condemn her, but He told her to leave her life of sin...He had long hair and that seems to be okay for those who followed Him and even for those who opposed Him, because His long hair is never mentioned as a problem for others...He tells us He came to earth for sinners, and not for those who think they are righteous...And He would be supportive and forgiving of those who sinned...
He helps those who need help...And that is what He did on earth...And He was the Good Teacher on earth, as well as the Great Physician...
And because He helps people those whoever needs help makes Him controversial and more of Him being a radical...He also was very, very good, even excellent at forgiving people of their sins...Forgiving seemed like a natural thing that He had the ability to do...And forgiving and forgiveness is not an easy thing to do...
So Jesus was a Traveling Controversial Teaching Radical who was very forgiving...And His going around forgiving others of their sins, somehow would get Him into trouble...Because forgiving is a good thing...His being Radical seems to come from the fact that He was always teaching about God and He claimed to have this Special Relationship with Him and being like the One He called His Father...And if we have seen Him, we have seen God, His Father...This Special Relationship to God seems get Him in trouble, and in the end He would lose His life over calling Himself the Son of the Blessed One...He tells us that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and even more radically says He is the Only Way to God...So this Special Relationship with God and Him talking about it does get Him in trouble with the other religious officials, who cannot quite figure out who He is...And so they want Him dead...Because He can and would call God, His Father, say He is One with God, forgive people, do miracles, and miraculous healings, and walk on water, turn water into wine, and calm raging storms -the religious officials cannot put their finger on who He is...Yet, because of these things they want the One who would have the nerve to call Himself the Son of the Blessed One dead...
If I said, I have seen God, and I and my Father are One, forgive people, heal people, say I AM the Truth seems to be good things when taken into context of what He did for people...For what He did, as I look at all these things, they do not seem to be something that one today would get crucified for, or would they?...
So as I think about these things, I think He still is as Radical and Controversial as He was when He walked the earth...A Great Paradox of a Man...
