1 Peter 2:22-25
Jesus Committed No Sins and Did Not Lie
22“He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”
23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Jesus never lied or deceived anyone...Jesus kept His tongue from evil and His lips from deceitful speech...He committed no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth....The LORD detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy and are truthful...St. Peter said the Jesus committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth...When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats...Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly...He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed...For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls...
Author Leo Tolstoy said that “Anything is better than lies and deceit!”...And author Ayn Rand tells this on lies: “People think that a liar gains a victory over his victim...What I’ve learned is that a lie is an act of self-abdication, because one surrenders one’s reality to the person to whom one lies, making that person one’s master, condemning oneself from then on to faking the sort of reality that person’s view requires to be faked...The man who lies to the world, is the world’s slave from then on...There are no white lies, there is only the blackest of destruction, and a white lie is the blackest of all.”...
So beware of the man who lies...And do not let anyone spoil your belief through deceiving philosophy and vain deceit...Truth reigned in the life of Jesus because He is full of Grace and Truth...
