Ship Passage
Charles Pindar is the name listed as taking names for cargo/passengers in the public square. Census records reveal a Charles Pindar living in Escambia Co. in 1824, as well as a Charles Pindar who was born in Pensacola in 1823 who was quite likely his son. The younger Charles is listed as a mulatto in the 1850 census.

Sundry Accounts mean anything that is “extra” or not part of the regular business. In this instance, it would mean last minute passengers, extra cargo, so accounts from other investors. This Sundry Account document (courtesy of Brown University Library) is from an 1817-1818 voyage of the ship Agenoria. It shows the ship's owners made an additional $677.40 during that time frame.
