The Vice-Secretary supports the Secretary in managing the club’s administrative and organisational responsibilities. They play an important role in ensuring the club remains well-organised, compliant, and responsive to member needs.
Working closely with the Secretary, the Vice-Secretary helps maintain smooth operations and steps in to assume all Secretary duties when the Secretary is unavailable.
Support the Secretary in carrying out administrative and organisational tasks
Act as Secretary when required, assuming full responsibility in their absence
Assist in ensuring the club operates in accordance with University and UQ Union rules and regulations
Identify and raise issues or oversights to support effective governance and administration
Support volunteer welfare and benefits
Maintain and organise the club’s photo bank and media records
Coordinate with the event photographer to document club activities
Work closely with Human Resources–related functions to support member wellbeing
The Vice-Secretary provides guidance, coordination, and administrative support to the following roles, helping ensure clear communication and smooth collaboration across the committee:
Human Resources Manager – supporting member wellbeing, team communication, and positive club dynamics
Volunteer Coordinator – assisting with volunteer management, coordination, and administrative processes
