Lesson 6: Have students use what they have learned about limiting government to describe improvements to the government of Egbonia. These improvements should limit the power of the government and protect individual rights. Encourage students to connect terms and concepts to each improvement. For example, if students have suggested addition a third branch of government such as a court system in Egbonia, connect this to the concepts of separation of powers, judicial power, interpreting laws, checks and balances, etc. Students may work in groups or individually. Have students present their ideas orally to the class. (3-4 days)
