All students planning to attend college next year should complete their application by April 2, 2024

Getting Started - Parents and Students will need to Create an FSA ID Account

Items Needed to Create an Account:
Social Security Number
Your Own Mobile phone number and / or personal email address
Financial Aid Process
Apply for Financial Aid - Using the FAFSA Application or CADAA (California Dream Act Application).
U.S. citizens and Residents use the FAFSA Application - Log in using your FSA ID username and password
Non-Citizens and Non-Residence use the CADAA Application - Create a username and password - First Time User
Items Needed to Complete FAFSA / CADDA Application:
Your Social Security Number - if applicable
Your Parents' Social Security numbers - if applicable
Your driver's license number - if applicable
Your Alien Registration number if you are not a U.S. Citizen
Federal Tax information or tax returns (2022) - including IRS W-2 information for your parents
IRS 1040
Foreign tax returns, IRS 1040 NR, or IRS 1040NR-EZ
Parents child support received, interest income, veterans non-education benefits for you and your parents
Information on cash; saving and checking account balances; investments, including stocks and bonds and real estate, business and farm assets
Keep these records! You may need them again to submit to your community college or university's financial aid office.
The COS Financial Aid Office
will host a free FAFSA Workshop for our UPHS Seniors parents and Students on
November 8, 2023 at 6:00p.m. - Yokut 7 & 8
At this workshop, you will learn about the Financial Aid process. Mario Cruz - COS Financial Aid Student Support Specialist, and his team members will be available to help you learn about the Financial Aid process, which is the first step in paying for college.
