It was on July 18, 2024 when I first reached out to Move.Org Foundation Inc. or MovEd through email with the intention of partnering with their organization for my special project. Luckily, they replied the day after and after several back-and-forths, I had my initial meeting with them via Zoom on August 6, 2024.
During this meeting, they expressed their interest in my proposal to partner with them for my Special Project and wanted to learn more about the project. The initial meeting was brief -- around thirty minutes -- because I have already prepared my presentation for them. They asked for a copy of my presentation to pitch my Special Project proposal to Move.Org Foundation Inc. Founder and Executive Director, Ms. Alexandra Amanda M. Eduque.
On August 8, 2024, they emailed me to inform that Ms. Eduque has agreed with the Special Project collaboration and that it would be a great opportunity to further improve the learning of MovEd learners and address their needs. Thus, I secured a meeting with my FIC, Sir Ley Gripal, to seek his approval for my partner-institution.
When I got Sir Ley's approval on August 12, 2024, I had my consent form signed by my gatekeeper on August 14, 2024 signifying my official partnership with them.
I'm just so grateful that MovEd responded to me and my proposal because my greatest realization after was that this is really the kind of organization that I want to partner with -- donor-driven, serving underserved communities, and what struck me the most is their long-time partnership with Atty. Leni Robredo. I also remembered one of Sir Ley's initial questions to me, "Teka muna, kakampink ka ba?" because he wanted to make sure that the organization that I will partner with shares the same vision as I have and that it aligns with my personal beliefs as well.
That is why I am so blessed that they agreed to partner with me. Knowing Atty. Leni Robredo and her history as a public servant, I am certain that this organization is worth helping. It is an organization that genuinely wants to give back to the community, and so do I. Ultimately, like what Sir Ley has been reiterating, this is the very essence of all of this special project after all -- TO GIVE BACK as Iskolars ng Bayan.
