My partner-institution is Move.Org Foundation Inc. (otherwise known as MovEd), a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to bring early childhood care and development programs to children and their families in underserved communities in the Philippines.
Currently, MovEd has nineteen (19) learning labs across the country, and five (5) of which are located in Metro Manila -- three (3) in Tanza, Navotas, one (1) in Maybunga, Pasig, and one (1) in La Huerta, Parañaque which is the focus of my Special Project and is my chosen project locale.
MovEd La Huerta is located inside Parañaque Ancop Rotary Homes 1, C5 Extension, Brgy. La Huerta, Parañaque City which is a relocation site of informal settlers. Below are photos of what the community looks like, as well as the MovEd La Huerta Learning Lab itself.
When I came across Move.Org Foundation Inc. online, it instantly caught my attention and piqued my interest because of its donor-driven free education program for preschool learners. Hence, I immediately reached out to them with high hopes of being able to partner with them for my special project. Among the 19 MovEd learning labs nationwide, I chose the one in La Huerta as my project locale because of its proximity which is just within my community.
