For the last week of October, I mostly did revisions and improvements on my project proposal and design blueprint with the help of my content expert, Dr. Tayzon. Her guidance has been really helping me immensely because it has been directing me toward my end goal which is to finish my special project in a way that it would really be helpful and useful for my partner institution. With her minor comments, I was able to improve my project proposal to make it more detailed and informative but it is still a work in progress. As I continue with my special project, I need to iteratively check and improve on my proposal and even my design.
I initially designed only a five-day module, but I just found out from Dr. Tayzon that I should design modules or sessions that would last for at least eight weeks or one quarter of a school year. It was only then that I realized that I might have rushed the learning activities that I initially laid out and that I need to spread them and prolong their duration as well as add more activities. I also realized that I could divide the modules into several sessions to cover as much topics as possible and to allow each of the learning activities to have ample time to be implemented in actual.
Aside from this, I also fixed and updated my Gantt chart, which I really hope I would be able to follow given the tight schedule with the holidays coming up. Wishing myself the best of luck and of course, I will do everything and the best that I can to accomplish everything on time and on track!
What I like about following the ADDIE model is that it is iterative -- which means that I can go back to each phase anytime that I need to, and that there is always room for improvement in each phase that will also help make the latter phases better. For the first week of November, my target is to finalize my design blueprint so I can start with the curation and development of the instructional materials.
