We have gathered some amazing resources for math teachers of all experience levels. Visit the Technology page, the Student Engagement page, and the Graphing Calculator page for some exciting resources to use in your classroom to improve student learning. For our Action Service Project, we would like to share this collection with all of the middle school math teachers in Iredell County and Benson Middle School. We will also post the link in a Facebook discussion group for math teachers across the United States in grades 6-8 who currently use the Open Up Resources curriculum.
In order to boost pride in their work, students and I have worked together to create a website for publishing and showcasing their work (global/social issue documentaries, poetry from the Interdisciplinary unit with Language Acquisition, and other writing assignments). Another project that we have worked on together are the global/social issue documentaries. More information regarding these projects can be found on the global/social issue page of the website. Later on in the year, we will work together with the Language Acquisition classes on an Interdisciplinary poetry unit, and classes will publish their poetry on this website as well.
