1. Khan Academy - resources for all subject areas but good for science and technology. Teachers can create classes and put their students into classes. Teachers can assign students content from Khan Academy by subject or topic, which includes videos, articles tutorials and practice. Students can work at their own pace and teachers can monitor. This is a great resource for flipped classrooms and blended learning.
2. FlipGrid is a collaborative platform in which students can share ideas or give feedback using pictures, video, or words. Although I use this in science, this tech tool will quickly become a class favorite no matter WHAT you teach! Students can simply voice an opinion, or they can create a multimedia presentation, or anything in between.
3. SAS Curriculum Pathways is one of my favorite high-quality standards-based resources for all four core subjects. I use Curriculum Pathways often in my science classes. This resource is free - just sign up and sign in! I recommend watching the 45 minute Webinar below to get started so you can utilize all the features. O you can watch my intro.
4. Quizlet: This website allows you, and your students, to generate flashcards for those pesky science topics. There are also many quizlets already created to browse through.
