Using Wikipedia to Teach Scholarly Peer Review
Description
The goal of the assignment was to have students understand the peer review process for journal articles. Students were asked to imagine that they are submitting an article and go through a peer-review process with peers. The journal is Wikipedia and students need to write a new article which will be reviewed. When the articles have been updated, they are published to Wikipedia by a point person (instructor, librarian, or student familiar with Wikipedia).
