The University Library Department manages and provides seamless access to both print and online scholarly information; offers reference services, research assistance, and information literacy instruction; provides excellent facilities and equipment.
All its services are integrated into the Blackboard Learning Management System and accessible to all learners. The main academic resources include international content providers such as Cengage Digital Solutions, Coursera, Science Direct, Scopus, Philippine E-Journals, and Gale. Apart from these content providers, other learning resources are provided to the students and teachers such as Turnitin, Grammarly, and Mentimeter. The Online Public Access Catalog is accessible 24/7 through www.elibrary.unc.edu.ph:8080.
These services are managed by a qualified and well-experienced Chief Librarian. She is supported by professional librarians. Moreover, the library has a functional faculty-library committee headed by the dean/principal assuring the quality of library collection and services for its clients including its partner organizations such as city and municipal libraries in the region.
The University E-Library has been providing services in making researchers, students, faculty members, and the university more driven. The E-Library has a fully air-conditioned facility that features 168 functional computer units with an internet connection, both desktops, and laptops. The library is also equipped with 10 CCTV units and has 6 Wi-Fi routers which ensure connectivity in the entire building in order to enhance educational development and provide educational resources for effective teaching, learning, and research activities.
Moving forward, the E-library intends to finish digitizing printed materials including student thesis, copyright all teacher-made modules and learning materials, and further enhance the pandemic-proof procedural manual to further enhance access even to students without stable internet connectivity.
