Minnesota Harvest of the Month foods can be a fun and engaging context for K-12 learning activities in science, social studies, language arts, math, and health/nutrition! All K-12 educators, including Family and Consumer Science and Agricultural Education teachers, are encouraged to use the lessons and activities below to connect their curricula and classrooms to the food grown in their local communities and served in their cafeterias.
Free customized workshops: Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom/Harvest of the Month staff members are available to lead in-person or virtual workshops that provide hands-on experience with Harvest of the Month lessons and resources that inspire educators to connect classroom activities with the cafeteria and community. These workshops can be customized to fit the needs of all educators in your school. Contact Sue Knott to request a workshop.
Virtual Professional Development (PD) sessions: Four virtual professional development sessions for K-12 educators will be hosted during the school year.
