Interprofessional Pre-Health Students

About

The mission of our club, Interprofessional Pre-Health Students (IPPHS), is to promote a patient-focused interprofessional environment that is being implemented into modern-day health care.

Our objective is to enhance student knowledge and interest in the operations that interprofessional communication presents to providing the best care possible. Our group is invested in exploring academic opportunities on campus and off-campus, as well as provide relevant discussions on current and important health topics.

We bring in health professionals from a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise to talk about their own journeys into healthcare, what their day-to-day operations look like, and how they chose their specialties. We also do a number of outreach events with different health-related student groups on campus and with the Pre-Health Student Resource Center (PHSRC). Due to our close ties with the PHSRC, our advisor, Fred Williams, is able to help guide students on their health career journeys either individually or through group meetings. If you're interested, email us at ipphs@umn.edu and one of our officers will assist you. We look forward to helping you learn and experience inter-professional health!

To join our email list to hear about upcoming events, send an email to our Internal Communications Director, Parker, at ipphs@umn.edu.
