Emergency Care Consultants Scribe Program

About

Emergency Care Consultants (ECC) started their scribe program in 2006 as the first scribe organization in the Midwest. During the program's lifetime ECC has helped start numerous scribe programs throughout the Midwest.

We aim to provide our scribes with the richest opportunity to explore the different areas of medicine before they attend any health professional school. As of today, we have seven emergency departments (ranging from urban to rural), three outpatient clinics, and two inpatient hospital settings where we staff scribes in the Twin Cities, MN. As a scribe with ECC, you will have the ability to work side-by-side with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, as well as numerous other medical staff. You will learn how to document a chart, master medical terminology, learn how to read lab values and radiology imaging, watch numerous patient encounters, and so much more. We also provide opportunities outside of scribing including education sessions, practice interviews, volunteer and leadership opportunities, and social events.
