A quote by an unknown author states:
“Work on being in love with the person in the mirror who has been through so much but is still standing.”
Self worth is the action of loving yourself unapologetically.
Self worth is being yourself no matter who is around, or what others may think.
Self worth is loving who you are as a person.
Self worth is an attribute found in all people.
Self worth is sometimes buried so deep inside, that others may not be able to see or feel it.
Self worth is not found within others.
Self worth is not determined by others.
Self worth is not putting someone else down to build yourself up.
Self worth is not based on appearance.
Self worth is not based on grades.
Self worth is not based on the amount of friends you possess.
Self worth is not based on your relationship status.
Loving yourself is not easy, especially in the world we live in today.
There are so many forces that can knock us down on our journey to self love and self worth.
The important part is to get back up and keep trying.
Self worth will make you get up the 10th time after you’ve fallen 9 because you know that you’re good enough and you can do this.
Self worth makes you good enough even when you don’t feel it.
Many people in our own community are struggling, and it goes unnoticed.
Some people are good at putting on a smile to make everything seem alright.
This isn’t the case for most people though.
This is why loving yourself is so important: because self love and self worth can get a person through anything.
Being able to love your true and genuine self through the good times and bad is one of the greatest qualities someone can possess.
Love yourself.
Unapologetically.
