Holding another person is easy… holding your mom after your dad dies and wiping her tears is easy. Holding up the body of your friend after they died or commited suicide is easy.
Your adrenaline makes their body feel weightless. It’s after the ordeal is over which is hard. It’s knowing you'll never see their smile or hear their voice. Hold them close and feel their warmth against you. Knowing that they're gone is hard.
Like I said holding up others is easy, it's holding up yourself that's hard. Getting out of bed, taking a shower, going for groceries all these things become harder because you think to yourself “ How can you live on knowing that they aren't here?”
Well it's because you're resilient, you're tough, you know the show must go on and you've got other people depending on you. You can't let them down, so you become resilient, you get stronger and with every death it may not get easier but you get more resilient.
And that allows you to help others, and by doing so you spread that resilience. That strength that it takes to get out of bed everyday. If it be a death, or a issue at home, you help others become resilient.
So their show doesn't close its curtains early, and they in return will spread that resilience to others and one day we will all live in a world where no ones’ show has to end early. A world where we are all resilient, strong people who arent afraid to lend a hand.
By reading this message you have already helped us spread resilience and furthered our cause to step up to prevent suicide because sometimes all you need is a little strength
