The Lady Trojans were playing a game,

It was the most important of the year.

This game would not be the same,

With districts being near.

The whistle blew and the game began,

Ball was put in play.

Across the court they ran,

Little did they know trouble was on its way.

The ref said the ball was tipped,

The teammate almost made a threat.

The captain stopped her before a few words slipped,

And told the teammate, “Don’t say anything you will regret.”

The team won the final set,

They were ready to move on.

All covered in sweat,

But the teammate had something to say before they were gone.

She said, “Thank you for stepping in,

Your integrity saved us all.

I see you lead from within,

Your morals are in no way low or small.”

Integrity is not just being a good leader,

It is about having high morals and staying true.

In society there is nothing sweeter,

Than when leaders take responsibility for their entire crew.
