One word that describes me is DETERMINATION. I am determined to succeed in life and be the best person I can be. As people we deal with problems and struggles throughout our life. I like problems and challenges, they push me to do my best and win.

In the Bible, Proverbs 27:17 says “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another ''. We can help make each other better. Over time, I tried new things to make me better.

One example of this is when I tried out for football my senior year. I was very nervous. The last time I played a football game was when I was 9 years old. I knew some things about the sport because I enjoy watching it on tv a lot but when it comes to actually playing the game, I had no idea what to do. I decided to play my senior year and had to work hard to get a starting position. I had to do training activities that most of the team didn’t show up to. Looking back, I regret not playing freshman year because I would’ve loved to play all four years of football. I honestly believe I could’ve been a great football player and been more of a force on the field. I am glad I tried it my senior year. The challenges satisfied and sharpened my skills.

I have to strive to be the “best me”. I want to make a difference in my life. I don’t want to be another average person. We don’t know if we will make it to tomorrow. So I challenge you today. Be determined to do better. Be determined to work harder. Be determined to Step Up
