Qard Hassan
Five scholarships of $15,000 each are awarded an interest free loan (qard hasan) as a part of this scholarship. The objective is to help students achieve and succeed by receiving aid financially, then have them pay back the funds to benefit other students.
Reimbursement of annual tuition fees: Up to $7,500
Monthly stipend: $500/month for 12 months
Allowance for books/materials: $1,500
Eligibility: See link for specific majors supported, under the age of 24, high academic achievement, demonstrate need, not be accepting any other loan (i.e. Stafford Loan), US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Promote the spiritual and intellectual development of Muslims throughout North America by providing interest-free loans for higher education
Application Review Committee (ARC) will determine the loan amount given to each student and the repayment period based on the strength of their application, the amount requested, and the amount of funds raised by ACC during that calendar year.
