Faith Community Shelter &

 SafeSpaces Parking Program

• Faith Community Shelter operates seven nights per week at 10 different Host Sites

• SafeSpaces Parking program is for families and individuals living in their vehicles.  Individuals with a need for a safe place to park your RV or other vehicle overnight (7pm - 7am) are welcome to apply.

• Program operates at faith communities in the City and around Aptos.

Salvation Army Shelter

• The Salvation Army in Santa Cruz, California currently provides space for up to 135 tents with 24/7 staff,

• Offers two meals a day, showers, laundry services, shuttle services, and more. Participants can utilize this program for up to six months.

Housing Matters 

• Housing Matters runs four shelter programs, including a family shelter

• Provides health and human services in Santa Cruz County.

• Offer residential, case management, and day services to people experiencing homelessness

• Accept ESAs as long as they are over a year old, and up to date on vaccinations. 

Youth Homeless Response Team

Transitional Age Youth Housing Navigation

• The Youth Homeless Response Team is a collaborative effort between the Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County and the Santa Cruz County Office of Education. This supportive services program aims to serve unaccompanied youth between the ages of 15-24 who are experiencing housing instability 

• Services include: housing search assistance, individualized plans and case management, connection to resources and services including education/employment

Eligibility: 15-24 years old, is either homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness, OR fleeing a domestic violence situation, living in the Santa Cruz County. See link for application process. Needs referral. 

Siena House

• Siena House is a residential program offering hope and opportunities for pregnant women in need. 

• Provide a sober community for women who are pregnant and in need of a safe living environment.

• Services offered include: On-site case management, financial literacy, parent education, nutrition classes, prenatal & postpartum yoga, support groups, doula support, and birth education

Pajaro Valley Shelter Services

•  Emergency shelter for women and children, accepts women without children as well

• Families and individuals  may reside in the Shelter for a maximum of six months.

• Other services: transitional housing for up to 2 years, savings program, case management and counseling, professional development and training and more.
