The Youth Homeless Response Team is a collaborative effort between the Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County and the Santa Cruz County Office of Education. This supportive services program aims to serve unaccompanied youth between the ages of 15-24 who are experiencing housing instability
Services include: housing search assistance, individualized plans and case management, connection to resources and services including education/employment
Eligibility: 15-24 years old, is either homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness, OR fleeing a domestic violence situation, living in the Santa Cruz County. See link for application process. Needs referral.

Serve current and former foster, probation placement, victims of crime, and homeless youth ages 15-24.
Provide programs and services including counseling, skills-building, a drop-in resource center, and subsidized supportive housing.
The Thrive Hive drop-in resource center is equipped with a cozy living room, kitchen, laundry facility, showers, and computer lab and offers counseling services, food and clothing donations, as well as daily hot meals. The Thrive Hive is a safe place to gain support from peers and case managers. The center is open for drop in visitors Mon-Thursday 12:30-5:30pm. Fridays available by appointment only.
Transitional Housing Plus is a supportive housing program that serves former foster and probation youth between the ages of 18-24. Participants receive assistance securing independent housing in the community, get support from program coordinators to work on independent living goals, and receive financial assistance with rent, utilities, food, and educational expenses while also saving money for when they leave the program.

Bill Wilson Center’s Host Home Program/Shared Housing Program partners with community members to help provide temporary housing (6 months) in a safe and welcoming environment for young adults (ages 18-24) who are experiencing housing instability. Contact case manager to learn about current availability.
