If a student's progress is unsatisfactory, a decision to recommend program termination should be made by the supervisor in consultation with the supervisory committee. When such action is being contemplated, the Associate Dean must be kept informed. The supervisor, in consultation with the Associate Dean, must prepare a fully documented case for program termination which will be presented to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research.
Decisions made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research may be appealed. Students are referred to the FGSR for details on informal and formal appeal procedures.
