Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
Open to applicants in masters programs.
Open to full-time or part-time registered students.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
This award is awarded on the basis of high academic standing
Preference will be given to a nominee whose area of research involves community development
Applicants registered in master's programs are eligible to hold UAlberta awards during the first four years of their program.
GPA will be calculated over the most recent 15 units (minimum) of course weight. First-class academic standing (equivalent to a grade point average of 3.5 or greater on the University of Alberta grading scale) is required.
This award is competitive amongst other UofA graduate departments. Interested candidates will be selected by Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation (KSR) award selection committee and forwarded to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR); only one candidate can be selected for each award. FGSR's Graduate Scholarship Committee Chair then makes the final selection. Winner's receive a letter directly from the FGSR; refusals are sent to the KSR Graduate Program Office who in turn will notify the applicant.
