Capstone Project or
Capping Exercise
General Information
Minimum Requirements for Course-Based Master’s Programs:
As part of FGPS'S Minimum Requirements, students must complete a capstone project or capping exercise as required by their program and commensurate with the degree being sought.
Grading
Generally, students will be assigned "Credit" (CR) or "No-Credit" (NC) for their capstone project or capping exercise.
A grade of CR indicates that a student has successfully completed the class and has received academic credit toward their program.
A grade of NC indicates that a student has not successfully completed the class and has not received academic credit toward their program.
Notations of CR and NC do not impact GPA calculations. However, since the capstone project or capping exercise is an academic requirement, successful completion is necessary to graduate.
Timing
The capstone project or capping exercise is typically taken in the last semester of a student's program.
