Your supervisor or advisor is your first point of contact on issues directly related to programming. Before registering for classes, consult with your advisor/supervisor for guidance on your program plan, including course selection, course changes, and ensuring that all requirements will be met. 

• The University of Alberta assigns all students a Campus Computing ID (CCID) with email privileges. All University-related communications require the use of your [CCID]@ualberta.ca email address. 
• Students are responsible for ensuring they receive, access, read, and act upon all emails from the University in a timely fashion. 
• Failure to receive or read in a timely manner does not absolve students and applicants from knowing, responding to, or complying with the content of the communication. 
• The University is not responsible for failure to receive communications due to students or applicants changing their originally assigned email address to a preferred one. 
• If students or applicants choose to forward their University directed email to other non-University email addresses, such as those provided by Hotmail, Yahoo, Shaw, Telus, etc., they do so at their own risk.
