Graduate Student Handbook

Welcome

At the University of Alberta, graduate students are registered in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR), and their regulations govern all graduate programs. Program planning and supervision are provided by the Faculty of Education. The University of Alberta Calendar and the FGSR Graduate Program Manual set forth the policies and regulations on graduate education. The Faculty of Education Graduate Student Handbook is meant to be a comprehensive, up-to-date resource for current graduate students and faculty. If there is a discrepancy between the information within this handbook and that contained in the Calendar or FGSR Manual, the latter takes precedence.
