Summary: This week we focused on CNCing more exterior frames to attach to our bike's component as well as sanding each component down to make sure the ridges were smoother once we begin assembly. We also focused on monitoring what pieces we have already printed and completed in order to proceed with CNC printing after spring break. Towards the end of the week we focused on discussing further work we need to complete over the course of spring break. A challenge that we encountered while modeling was ensuring that we could print as many components as possible before Friday to ensure that we had a proper count of how many pieces we had completed.
Plan for the Next 2 Weeks (Post-Spring Break): Finish CNCing and then assemble each of the components together to prepare for the incoming showcase. Work on the exterior coating to enclose the shape itself to the bike's frame.
Monday:
PLTW Step: Construct Solution
Neda: Work on CNC Machine to generate exterior components
Kaitlyn: Talk with Mr. Rojas regarding the pieces that have been CNC'd & update documents and website
Venice: Day Off
Tuesday: GROUNDHAWK DAY
PLTW Step: DAY OFF
Neda: Group Leader for Ground Hawk Day
Kaitlyn & Venice: Present our project to the eigth graders and explain each of our components for our project
Wednesday:
PLTW Step: Construct Solution
Neda: Work with the CNC to make additional components for exterior
Kaitlyn: Work on generating parts list for the CNC Machine to organize parts & use table saw to cut out general dimensions for the CNC
Venice: Adjust code for the LED system
Thursday:
PLTW Step: Construct Solution
Neda: Work with the CNC to make components for the bike frame
Kaitlyn & Venice: Brought LED materials to car to work on them for spring break
Kaitlyn: Work on website and update parts completed
-Find custodian to get extra material for the CNC machine
