We focused this week on creating the walls for the final mold of our bike. We did this by cutting out structures using several pieces of cardboard to generate the shape. In order to get the dimensions to align with our bike we used the bike's general dimensions for reference. Each of us divided the work of cutting the pieces by focusing on the 4 main components we would have to cut the cardboard into. These 4 components consisted of the front left, front right, back left, and back right pieces of the mold. Next week we are focusing on creating the borders for the mold and beginning attachment of the borders to the mold.
We began cutting out the shapes for our cardboard mold, the overall shell is separated into 4 main components with the back half of the mold (containing a left and right version) and the front half of the mold which also contains a left and right version.Â
Afterwards, we began working on cutting out 8 inch cardboard pieces in order to construct our borders once we get to the assembling portion with the cardboard mold.
