Bike Frame Mold Process

We began cutting out the shapes for our cardboard mold, the overall shell is separated into 4 main components with the back half of the mold (containing a left and right version) and the front half of the mold which also contains a left and right version.

We began cutting out the shapes for our cardboard mold, the overall shell is separated into 4 main components with the back half of the mold (containing a left and right version) and the front half of the mold which also contains a left and right version.
WEEK 6
We continued working on the assembly portion of this build by attaching the orders to the base shapes of the mold for each of the 4 main components of the mold. To ensure that the spray foam would be easier to remove after drying, we coated and assembled each of the pieces with masking tape. We also made sure to test the durability of each of the molds to ensure that they would be stable.
