The teacher explains the desired behavior expected from students.The teacher has a respectful relationship with the students. The teacher creates a classroom environment that promotes social development, active learning, and intrinsic motivation.

This is a sample letter to parents that I created for a first-grade classroom. In this letter, I mention important information for parents. My goal is to build meaningful relationships with parents and establish open lines of communication with them. This is something that I would send home on the first day of school, or during a "first-grade round up" prior to the first day of school.
