This is a sample letter to parents that I created for a first-grade classroom. In this letter, I mention important information for parents. My goal is to build meaningful relationships with parents and establish open lines of communication with them. This is something that I would send home on the first day of school, or during a "first-grade round up" prior to the first day of school.
I created this classroom expectation matrix to establish specific routines and procedures for my classroom. After modeling and practice, this will ensure that my students know exactly what my expectations are, and how to behave accordingly.
