SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADE 11

Treston Senior High School prepares students for higher education, employment, or entrepreneurship. The first year of Senior High School develops the student’s knowledge, skills, and potentials through hands-on learning and innovative teaching strategies. Under the School of Technology, the students can either take the Academic Track - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand or the Technical Vocational Livelihood Track - Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Strand for Senior High School. There are four specializations in STEM during this level: Pre-Calculus, General Biology I, Basic Calculus, and General Biology II. For ICT, there are two specializations: Computer Systems Servicing NC II and Contact Center Servicing NC II. These subjects are specifically tailored for students to excel in their chosen field of specialization.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADE 12

In the last year of Senior High School, Grade 12 students finish meeting their graduation requirements. The students enrolled in the Academic Track - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand will obtain five specializations on this level: General Physics I, General Chemistry I, General Physics II, General Chemistry II, and Research/Capstone Activity. While students who are enrolled in the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood track - Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Strand will have three specializations: Computer Programming, Animation, and Work Immersion to apply their competencies in authentic work environments.

INTERNATIONAL GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

The general education courses introduce students to various domains of knowledge and ways of comprehending social and natural realities. In this program, intellectual competencies, such as critical, analytical and creative thinking, and multiple forms of expression are developed. The course also enhances a student’s civic capacities needed as a member of the community, country, and the world.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CORE COURSES

The core courses in Information Technology cover the use of general-purpose programming. The emphasis is to train the students to create useful programs using their critical thinking skills with the use of appropriate programming tools. At this level, the student will start to realize the fundamentals and practical solutions for societal problems.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONAL CORE COURSES AND INTERNSHIP

The professional courses in information technology include a capstone project and internship. At this level, the students are already focused and confident to evaluate and interpret the results of the IT solution. Developing the skills acquired from the previous years, the students will transform into a well-rounded IT professional.
